Assess your digital maturity by using
our Maturity Model

Improve your OEE within the first year

  • Identify your level of digital maturity
  • Define next steps to improve
  • 3 Key elements of successfully digitizing your company

Industry 4.0 is here today, but the majority (71%) of manufacturers are still held up in the pilot phase (or starting over). In completing several shop-floor transformations, we’ve noticed a common occurrence of blind spots and pilot purgatory – people are so focused on the machines and technology rather than the worker and the way in which workers execute tasks. For that reason, we’ve gleaned elements of our digitization projects that have realized significant gains for global manufacturers and created a maturity assessment model and accompanying report to help others figure out 1) where they stand today, and 2) how to get where they want their shop floor to be.

Identify where you are

The results of the assessment identify where your shop floor is in its journey to digitization – an important exorcise to map out what are your next steps – and highlights the most in-need areas for improvement (due to risks or production efficiencies at stake).

Improve your OEE within the first year

While the average period of ROI for digitization initiatives is 2-5 years, we’ve seen our approach (staying lasered focused on the needs of the worker) result in OEE improvement within the first year, and we hope this report showcases practical opportunities to achieve real results with this approach.

Manufacturers interested in receiving their own maturity assessment and report can consult with us for an info gathering session to kick off the effort. We’d be glad to partner with you in the assessment of your operations as well as building of a roadmap to realize the benefits of shop floor digitization!

The Maturity Model

Our proprietary maturity model assesses the digital maturity of four key pillars (task management, knowledge management, autonomous maintenance and safety management) that make up the foundation of your manufacturing operations. We assess these areas by closely looking into your plant’s ways of work, and how people, process/governance, data and technology shape each of the four pillars within your digital manufacturing operating system (D-MOS).

As you can see in our Task Management Maturity Matrix below, maturity is classified within five different categories, beginning with sporadic and going all the way up to intelligent.

What to focus on first

Finally, our report concludes with three keys to achieving success, guiding manufacturers on what to focus on first, and how to deploy digitization initiatives (and specific use cases) that achieve small wins from which they can then apply to larger areas of the plant — or other locations — to achieve the same efficiency gains at a larger scale.
